Satellite internet

Again..

So the old people who run the house I'm living at are switching to satellite internet.
Good news is it's supposedly cheaper than the crap we have now (ADSL from some company that holds a monopoly on internet and TV and phone in this area, providing only shit) as well as it is probably faster than what we have now which is pretty much barely faster than dial-up, and probably a little more reliable.
The bad news is, however...
Being satellite internet, there is a horrid DATA CAP *hisses at*. A data cap per day. limited to about 250mb a day. and since the old people tend to stream their movies a lot, that may run up faster'n they think, leaving everyone else in the house with the results of the Fair Access Policy to deal with, meaning slow as fuck internet until the FAP stops fapping all over the connection and speed picks back up.
Not to mention, being SATELLITE internet, being transmitted back and forth between the earth and a SATELLITE, my latency will shoot through the fucking ROOF, which is bad news in general, and terrible news for any gamer kitty like myself. My online gaming will be severely dashed until I can get to a place that has REAL internet. Sorry Evan, no tanks for a while x.x
On that note, advertisers are assholes, advertising their download speeds in megaBITS rather than megaBYTES, hoping to reel in some poor saps who don't know the difference. 1Mbps download speed sound nice? Think you'll end up seeing 1 megabyte a second download speeds? NOPE you instead have 128 kbps as your possibly-tops download speed. Have fun raging at the fact they just charged you for 8 times more than they gave you. Assholes.

At least I may still be able to keep in touch with those I love like my little nechu and all my friends, so keep an eye out for me will ya? <3

I'm doing fine, I actually have a new job! Starting tomorrow.

And it involves art! I get to do something practical with my art! There's a chance I'll be using my art skills in the job, but if not then at the very least I can credit my art skills to what GOT me the job :3
